The ‘Now Nudge’ function from Samsung has never operated for me. This capability is integrated into Samsung’s keyboard (which, indeed, remains subpar with dreadful voice recognition), and is intended to offer anticipatory suggestions derived from the on-screen content. For instance, if a person requests you to transmit images from a recent journey, it ought to present a prompt or button leading to the Samsung Gallery application, allowing you to pick and dispatch a collection. However, I’ve simply observed no such prompting or guidance.

Few alterations have been made to the photographic devices on these handsets. Indeed, Samsung incorporated wider apertures into a pair of cameras for the S26 Ultra lineup, yet the S26 and S26+ models receive no comparable enhancements. It’s challenging to voice excessive dissatisfaction, as this remains a robust three-camera setup.
Nevertheless, upon evaluating numerous low-light pictures captured by the Galaxy S26+ against those from the more economical Google Pixel 10, I frequently found the latter’s shots more appealing. Particularly, Google’s 5X zoom, when contrasted with Samsung’s 3X zoom, proves distinctly clearer and extends further, providing enhanced flexibility, despite Google exhibiting some white balance irregularities. This isn’t universally true; a number of images exist where the S26+ yielded a superior outcome.
I appreciate that the singular novel attribute that did reach these models is Samsung’s Horizon Lock, activated while employing Samsung’s Super Steady stabilization setting. This permits greater freedom when grasping the device during video recording, since the camera establishes a lock on the horizon and leverages the phone’s accelerometer information to maintain stable footage. I captured a video segment with HDR engaged on a luminous day and deliberately moved the phone slightly; nonetheless, one would not discern this by viewing the clip.

In conclusion, my assessment is that a majority of individuals would deem an Android device such as Google’s Pixel 10—which has frequently dropped to $599 during promotions—quite sufficient for their requirements, or alternatively, seek out last year’s Galaxy S25 range at a reduced price. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ represent entirely acceptable premium handsets, yet they fail to genuinely elevate standards.
