Senator Ashley Moody, a Republican from Florida, commends Elon Musk’s proposition to compensate TSA personnel and condemns the governmental impasse hindering vital staff amidst the closure, as reported on ‘The Bottom Line.’
On Monday, a Delaware adjudicator reassigned several legal actions concerning Elon Musk after legal representatives for the Tesla chief executive alleged her of partiality due to a LinkedIn entry that seemingly ridiculed the magnate.
In an official submission, Delaware Court of Chancery Chancellor Kathaleen St. J. McCormick declared her intention to transfer a collection of legal disputes to an alternative magistrate. This decision came after Musk’s legal counsel highlighted a social media contribution where she purportedly showed approval for a post making light of Musk.
Despite her withdrawal, McCormick maintained that she harbors no prejudice against the technology titan.

“The appeal for recusal rests upon an erroneous premise—that I endorse a LinkedIn post about Mr. Musk, which I do not, in fact, endorse,” the directive specifies. “I am not prejudiced against the respondents in these proceedings. Indeed, I dismissed a claim against Mr. Musk just last year. The petition for recusal is denied.”
“Fortunately, the Court of Chancery possesses a scope far greater than any single individual,” she further remarked.
Three other judges will now oversee the proceedings. McCormick observed that the “excessive media focus” surrounding her management of the cases would prove “detrimental to the equitable execution of justice.”
“Fortunately, the Court of Chancery possesses a scope far greater than any single individual,” she articulated. “I hold complete trust in the Vice Chancellors’ competencies to arbitrate these matters.”

Musk’s attorneys cited McCormick’s social media engagement, asserting that she utilized a “support” icon on LinkedIn on a message celebrating his defeat in a distinct California litigation. The message referred to Musk being held accountable for messages he disseminated on X (formerly Twitter) in 2022 concerning his $44 billion acquisition of the platform, in which he allegedly misled investors.
McCormick had presided over that specific judicial matter.
The legal representatives stated that one of McCormick’s subordinates also approved another anti-Musk message pertinent to Musk’s ongoing legal proceedings.
“This communication, to which the Court reacted, and another, to which a Court staff member reacted, are not merely unfavorable critiques of Mr. Musk and his legal team; they are inflammatory,” Musk’s lawyers penned.
McCormick subsequently deactivated her LinkedIn profile.

“I either did not click the ‘support’ icon at all, or I did so inadvertently,” McCormick communicated in a correspondence to the legal professionals involved in the case. “I do not believe that my action was accidental.”
In a separate legal action, McCormick in 2024 invalidated a multi-billion-dollar remuneration package for Musk and the Tesla board, asserting they had violated their fiduciary responsibilities and that Musk effectively controlled the governing body. The Delaware Supreme Court reinstated the compensation plan but affirmed McCormick’s foundational conclusions.
Musk that year responded to an X post from a conservative opinion leader regarding McCormick, proclaiming “absolute corruption” after the influencer pointed out her prior employment at a Delaware law firm that had contributed to former President Joe Biden.
