It is rumored that OpenAI has acquired TBPN, the widely popular online discussion program which frequently features AI sector leaders and other prominent figures in technology. Airing daily during the week and often extending for several hours, the program views media giants like Bloomberg and CNBC as its chief rivals. Its roster of former interviewees includes OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman, alongside top brass from Meta, Microsoft, Palantir, and Andreessen Horowitz.
John Coogan, the presenter of TBPN, announced via X that the program’s format would “remain unaltered.” He further commented, “This marks a momentous completion for me, as I’ve collaborated with [OpenAI CEO Sam Altman] for upwards of ten years. He provided the initial capital for my first venture back in 2013… We are eager to access greater means…”
